If Coppell had stayed would be celebrating promotion right now?

i think we'd have definately been up there challanging qpr and bristol city if he had stayed cos of the blip we had after.to be just 6 points of going in to the last game when we've been very average most of the season is disapointing cos with a bit more quality(mr kanchelskis maybe) who knows where we'd be?

he did get the best out of the players.

I think the best thing mcghee has done is to give the younger players and fringe players (except lee..) a chance. Coppell didnt ever seem too keen on giving them a go.

mcghee has unfortunatly given lee a chance but unlike virgo, harding, piercy and el abd he hasn't taken it

We were 1 pt clear when Coppell left. Booker won his first game for us to go 4pts clear he then lost his next 3 games befoe McGhee started.

Coppell has won 16 and lost 11 at Reading since he started.

I think we would have done in terms of keeping up the consistent points-winning, but then again every team has a bad run, I'm sure we still would have had the wobbles under Coppell. Anyway, we weren't exactly playing much better then - few thought we were good enough to sustain it

I think in terms of abilities, McGhee and Coppell are both similar, although their styles are very very different.

The only thing that cost us points was the disruption, but no, I still don't think we would have been above Bristol City whatever.
