Just seeing how much support this idea would get. I've seen something similar on other forums and it might provide some entertainment. The idea is to have a number of rounds, each lasting a few days, in which everyone tries to get the highest score possible on a set game. The best medium for this would probably be C64 games on an emulator as screenshots are easy to produce.
We are not talking anything too taxing here - games like Arkanoid, Space Invaders, Hyper Sports, International Football and the like.
All you would need to do is play the game until you get a score you are happy with, take a screenshot and email it to me. At the end of the round, I will post the scores and allocate points. I will be happy to host the emulator and rom files as well as set up instructions.
So - would there be any interest? If so, I will come up with proper rules. If not, I'll sit down and shut up!
