I'd start Johnson, Wright-Phillips and Downing against Holland

Johnson is not good enough. 6 months in the prem is not long enough to prove his worth. Marcus Stewart anyone? Kevin Phillips?

Id disagree - he runs the lane alone most the time at Palace and to score the amount of goals he has doing that is good

Why doesnt AJ deserve a chance? Second top scorer in the Prem behind only Thierry Henry. That means he's the top English goalscorer, yes more than Owen, Rooney, Defoe, Smith, Vassell, Cole etc.

The boy works his f***ing bollocks off every game and will score if he gets an opportunity, what more could you want? Ricketts had his chance, Beattie had his chance, Phillips had his chance, so AJ should get a chance. Forget about the Brighton Palace thing, this player is a very good English striker.

AJ for England!

You raise some good points. He does deserve his chance, that's pretty obvious.

The most annoying thing would be losing him to Poland where he could turn into a decent international player.

He does deserve a chance, however as I said yesterday, I do think he will be another Phillips, form club player, but short of what is needed at international level. But no harm in giving him a run out in a friendly. If it does not work out, he is not tied to England and he can fulfill his destiny and play for Polska.

Dont think he could as he would have played for England above U21 level.

Exactly at least he deserves a chance, if it doesnt work out then he can continue to concentrate on keeping Palace in the Prem.

The rules on this changed. It used to be if you have played a competitive game at Under 21 or above, you were tied to that country. However now you are only tied to a country, if you have played a comepititive match at senior level. So the Holland game would seem an ideal one to have a look at him. I will be honest I do not think he is good enough to make that next step, but Beattie and Ricketts have been given a chance, so he should be.

Bearing in mind that we were talking about him in an England capacity, rather than a Palace one, I do not really care.

What is worrying me is you are going to wreck a rare football thread with your usual inane, inbred drivel.

I aint going to you prick. I am just stated the obviously he aint good enough for England pure and simple. Let him get called up by Poland. for f*** sakes.

The fact that he's the highest scoring English player in the Premiership would make your point complete SHIT now wouldn't it, Kevin.

You f***ing prick.

Do not tell people what to do.

The picture is irrelevant.

You really are an angry young man, is there any reason for that. Problems at home? Being bullied, violated?

No there aint problems at home, and what the hell its got to do with you i dont know, and that picture should'nt be on here. Why dont someone put a picture on Crystal palace forums of Leon Knight and see what the reaction would be.
