Wouldn't know guess if i had symptom that concerned me the doctor would have told me, so its a no from me.
What are the symptoms ?

Symptoms can be varied chronic fatigue,weight loss,pooping like a trooper! Acid coming up from the stomach.
Its condition that you would have for life but can be kept under control if you are lucky and careful!
Can affect any age!

Ulcerative colitis is an IBD... Irritable Bowel Disease. More serious than IBS as it can have potentially life-threatening complications and carries an increased risk of cancer.

IBS is inconvenient and uncomfortable but effectively harmless.

Surgery is the only way to cure IBD but doesn't mean you have a 'bag' for life, reconstructive surgery of the bowel is possible in a number of cases but it does take a year or so to complete the several stages required.
Good luck to Darren Fletcher but I suspect he will be out of the game a long time or possibly forever at prem level.

I thought IBS was a catch-all term for negative diagnonsis, i.e. if they've ruled out all other stomach related possbilities, then they say its IBS. I didn't think IBS was one, diagnosable medical condition. I suffer greatly from stomach problems, always have, but it's never been diagnosed as IBS - but I tend to call it that. I could be wrong.

It very often comes as part of my condition, it is at best uncomfortable, and downright painful at its worst.
