His son is on the cover of New Boots and Panties, he probably means another album
Yeah it was Do It Yourself - the one attached (on our wall, as Dury has signed it for my wife, who was about 7 at the time)

Saw him at the Top Rank and again at the Lyceum Drury Lane on the Stiff tour, and somewhere else around that time.

Apparently he could be quite abrasive off stage. Rude, even.

But a great entertainer.

I’ve seen better attempts at humour on here :smile:
I wasnt aiming for a spitting out tea level of reaction, it was just a light hearted throw away comment. At the same time I did wonder if anyone would actually believe that I thought that Dury had flouted child labour laws by using a small child as a roadie.

Thats how Andy Serkis portrayed him in the biopic. He was full of anger and bitterness which his experiences with polio partly contributed to.

They showed a concert from 1985 on Sky Arts last night.

Didn't realise is was 25 years ago this week that Ian passed away
