I would (as it stands now) rather go through as runners up than group winners!!!

France will surely beat the Swiss in their last game though, thus securing top spot. Even if they are a bit off the boil again, they will have enough to turn the Swiss over.
So, assuuming Greece beat the Ruskies, we will have a date in the 1/4 finals!

Despite the fact that a Croatia victory would have been bad for England I couldn't help but go absolutely mental in celebration of Croatia's second that put them in the lead - cheering a French victory just isn't in my genetic make-up unfortunately, despite the consequences for England.

so we play greece rather than spain or portugal

and? either way wehether we get through or not we have to play a team or deserved to get into the quarters and therefore it will not be "easier than another team", see where I'm coming from?

sort of. i see your logic but the fact is everyone(except you it seems) would rather play the greeks. to be fair they robbed the spanish the other night and did not deserve to get the point. the portugese suffered from stage fright in my opinion so i would much prefer to play the somewhat poor greeks than the potentially awesome spanish. hmmmm gianakopolous running at cole or ronaldo/joaquin running at cole. thats a toughy

i'd prefer the spanish over the greeks for some reason! everyones forgetting that we could'nt beat them (greeks) at home AND they beat spain away in the qualifiers....either way IF we get through it wont be an easy match whoever we'll get.

Personally i'd like to get the portuguese and beat them, nothing like dicking no the hosts in a major tournament :D

Not Luton! Thank God
I think we should be thanking our lucky stars that France didn't lose. That would have meant that Croatia would have only needed a draw to go through.

This way, with Croatia having to beat us, getting a result should be a lot easier.

greece beating spain in qualifiers and drawing with them. then them beating portugal all are considered as shock results. if this is the case that means spain and portugal are better teams than greece. so i would prefer to finish as runners up. because i cannot see russias delapidated squad getting even a point from greece. so greece finish top we will play them.

I'd rather play Spain or Portugal than Greece. They are under tremendous pressure and I think they'll choke big time. Greece don't have any pressure and are hard to break down, they'll be happy to bide thier time until a penalty shoot out (which we would inevitably lose).
