I believe so. Back in the age of no internet access we'd ring up excitedly to see if there was any thrilling transfer news that hadn't made it on to Ceefax yet, only to hear Tony going on about reserve team fixtures for four minutes (at 38p a minute) before announcing that an unnamed proposed signing had fallen through.
