Whatever league we might be in.

We're points clear at the top of the league, with games in hand, and 3-0 up at home and STILL you can hear a pin drop at Withers.

I'm not having a go, I'm as culpable as the next man not making much noise. There's just something about the place that makes the atmosphere non-existent. I don't think I could stand another season at there.

Looking at the photos from the top of the WSU on the other thread yesterday, it is going to be soooo loud up there.....I can't wait

BRING IT ON.

Its not as if no one can be bothered to sing though, most people dont even TALK during the game. Maybe they are just day dreaming about falmer..

I said on the other thread I don't actually care anymore, I'm counting the day 'til I'm on the northstand

Once again tonight I was surounded by old people and young children. Lots of people near me were pissing themselves laughing when plymouth sang "the football league is upside down", nice one lads - I guess you didn't bother going when WE used to sing that song

Yes the atmosphere is shit at Withdean, thats nothing new. But don't be too hasty to wish away the rest of this season. After the years of dross we've endured BG (Before Gus), I now get an awful lot of pleasure in watching us totally outclass the opposition week in, week out. The Amex is going to be off-the-scale stupendous, that goes without saying, and hopefully it'll be hosting us at the next level up. But for now, its just wonderful to savour us passing the opposition off the park.

Don't look at the surroundings. Just look at that team and what they are doing to this division. Unbeaten at home going into March - thats astonishing. Enjoy it.

There was a lack of incidents to get the crowd going last night - a team we had to be nice to because of their circumstances, and no refereeing f*** ups.

All in all quite boring, but what a pleasure seeing Brighton destroy a hard working team without even having to try that hard.

Perfectly summed up!

Not many teams have threatened us at home and we mostly turn up expecting to win and the only thing worth discussing is by how many! How I long for a hard fought blood and thunder 1-0 win!!

Blimey! I hope you lot are right. I'm struggling to understand how 3000 odd of us totally outsung Stoke the other day and then sat in TOTAL silence as we played Plymouth off the park. I'm wondering what's gonna miraculously turn these silent supporters who politely applaud when Brighton score into noisy, passionate people who demonstrate some exuberance when we start playing at Falmer!
I was in A Block (first time I've had to sit there) last night and it was absolutely dire. Having said that, I couldn't hear anything coming from my left apart from 2 coachfulls from Plymouth up the far end. Great performance by the Albion, but truly appalling support from our supporters. To be honest, we were embarrassing. One bloke stood up, (don't know why, could have wanted something out of his pocket or needed the loo) anyway, several people instantly found their redundant vocal chords and ordered him to 'sit down'! I have experienced some fairly dire atmospheres at the theatre of trees, but for me, last night was right up there amongst the worst ever. I hate to say it but the better we play and the further ahead we get at the top of the league, the more people seem to 'expect' us to play well/thrash the opposition. Please God. Don’t let us turn into a premiership type crowd, completely devoid of passion and commitment.:(

Thanx for reinforcing every single aspect of why i dont go to Withdean ///// what a JOKE - top of the league, outclassing everyone and the place is like a library .... even on the radio last night they compared it to a snooker audience :wozza:

Roll on Falmer, it WILL be rocking
