I like Holdroyd.

Good movement and positioning, always looking to run with the ball, blistering pace and enthusiastic but not in a tries hard/still looks shit sort of way (we've had so many of those types through the years).

I reckon it's only a matter of time before he starts nicking a few goals.

He shows promise, needs to bulk up a bit though.

He did well against Norwich to beat the keeper and pass it into murray.

He looks like John Boy and is currently about as effective as Johnny Dixon.

Maybe moved up one division too many?

Are you joking? Did you actually watch him on Sat? Firstly he should have had an assist but Murray buggered that chance up. Secondly he was up against two man mountains on Nelson and Doherty. I thought he showed some decent touches and will only get better. Not saying he is the next Beckford or Austin but I can why we signed him. But yeah go ahead and slag him off after only 2 games. Idiot!

To be honest I don't think he's looked out of place in the slightest. Considering he's moved up two divisions, and has faced two of the best sides in the league so far, he's looked very promising. Links up well with the midfielders, likes the ball into feet, and generally seems intelligent with his movement.

Didn't think when we signed him that he'd be involved anywhere near as much as he has/is going going to be.. and on what I've seen of him so far, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about his part to play for the rest of the season.

Has been thrown in the deep end because of the Forster saga but certainly hasn't disgraced himself. Best to save judgement on him until after the Exeter game rather.

:lolol: Holdroyd.

No worse than the goons calling him "Hemaroid" when he had signed. Prats.

I agree with you though, Danny. He looked like he's got something about him when I saw him against Huddersfield. If he can get a goal to get him off the mark in the next couple of matches, he could be one heck of a player for us. We're getting there. Bennett and Holroyd are a couple of talented young players and if we can add a few more in the summer, we'll be looking much better. It's just getting there. The experience of these first few months will be invaluable to the chap though, and he'll only be better for the experience. Hopefully the fans won't write him off as a "donkey" or start calling him "barndoor" if he doesn't score for a while....
