Hopefully we can bounce back like we did last season after being trounced by Stoke in the cup, followed by 8 wins in March.

I agree. I'm back in good lessons learned optimism mode. We have much to be grateful for. Onward!

Albion: a very English performance: a bit like Dunkirk

We will fight them ...

Buckley and Lua Lua in particular looked like they wanted to take the game to Liverpool, and had the chops to do it.
A couple of the others would have fared better, had they not been kept too busy.

As a team, they probably did learn - but that will come into evidence in action when we play Hull.
I hope it wasn't so humbling that they lost confidence and lose subsequent matches.

We have played Liverpool at home and away this season, so that's exactly like having them in the league.
Losing both fixtures is telling, but not a shock.

Finally - the manager has to accept a fair bit of responsibility for those results. Gus is not ready to manage at the top level imo, and overtures to Spurs appear somewhat embarrassing. Freedman or Adkins have as good a shout as Gus.
