Hello again! Some of you might remember my brother posting about the Pet Shelter Challenge on here a while back. Well, with your help, the Peanut Pet Shelter won $3000 from the competition.

It is now running again, and Peanut is not doing so well. So I am here to appeal to you all again to vote. Although we didn't win the top prize last time, all of your votes did make a difference. The shelter isn't doing so well right now and needs every penny it can get.

For those of you who don't know, I live in Mexico and support an English run pet shelter called Peanut Pet Shelter of Playa del Carmen. They could win $10 000 in the Pet Shelter Challenge, which is a world wide, completely free competition, all you have to do is vote daily. Easy!

So if you have a spare 2 minutes, go to the webstie below. The shelter is called Peanut Pet Shelter, it is located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Enter those details, click 'vote' and you'll be shown a picture of an animal. Enter the name of the animal and click on 'confirm vote', it won't work if you just press enter/return. Then you should be told your vote has been counted. You can only vote once a day from a computer, but if you have more than one computer...!

Point of accuracy - if it is a world-side contest, how come you can only vote for places in the US, Canada and the Carribean ? I wanted to vote for Worthing Cat Rescue !!

Maybe I should have said International rather than world-wide?! I am not sure of the regs so I don't know if UK shelters can register. I tried to find out but can't find it in the rules. Sorry, but hey, you could vote for Peanut instead?!

The problem is, we won the International prize last time so don't qualify for it this time. We might get number one overall but won't get any money. So that's why I'm pushing for so many votes, we need to get into atleast 6th place overall to get anything more than $1k and need to get in to the top 10 to get even $1k. Currently Peanut is 18th and dropping so a long way off. Thanks to everyone who has already voted, if you have a facebook page and feel the need to put the details in your status update, I'd be terribly appreciative ;o)

And re regs for pet shelters in the challenge, I found this "Visitors to THE ANIMAL RESCUE SITE will have an opportunity to choose from a list of select animal rescue and welfare organizations created by Petfinder.com." Ss I guess it's up to them who are in it.
