Well my daughter breaks up on the 19th July and goes back 3rd September so that's more than six weeks. She was off for the same period last year but at a different school. My sons always have six weeks plus. I'm hoping you don't teach maths !

I break up in the 24th and go back on the 3rd. My maths is fine lol! I was stating from experience both in Sussex and Liverpool. My wife is also a teacher at a different school and shares those dates.

At boarding school we worked Saturdays but had almost 9 weeks off in summer. Christ was I bored by about week 3. Despite the sound of it my Mum was skint and I was there on a grant , so no money for holidays or activities, just hanging around streets where I knew no other kids as was away most of the year. Makes me depressed just thinking about it. Christ it was dull. I escaped into riding endlessly around on my bike and films from age 10 to 15.
