I agree, Rugby is way down my priority list so much so that I have still not watched one game of this world cup and probably won't bother with the final either.

sadly I can't go to Notts this week anyway but it certainly wouldn't be the rugby affecting my decision.

At the foot of the downs
what made you come to the conclusion rugby is put before football ??, I just don't see what you are getting at ?

How often are we in the final of a world cup of any sport bar darts? Never. Rugby I'd class as second best after winning the football world cup in terms of ranking and Saturday will be an historic day if we win, a lot more so than the result against Notts county whatever it is. I certainly wouldn't want to have a memory of a world cup win of five live in the car - hardly something to tell the kids.

And watching this world cup dont you feel footy could learn something? Players dont argue with the ref, they dont roll around injured when they are tackled, the players when interviewed can articulate themselves and the fans can all sit next to each other without having a fight. Good luck to them.

it was meant to be a joke you kinky little gerbil. This site usually has more cricket threads than footie threads.

I loves watching the Rugby. Nice to see England being good at something

Like most people on here probably, I know a few genuine rugby fanatics, who totally love the sport and are very knowledgeable about it. And I really envy them this week, this is their time and Saturday will be amazing if they win. I would love to see the football team do something similar, and be that good. I'll be very happy to see us beat the Aussies, but it's not the same.

Surely the answer is to act the same way the masses of plastic non-footy watching types act whenever England have a massively important football game. Turn up dressed in the appropriate (newly purchased) gear, ask loads of stupid questions about the players and the rules, sing songs that are nothing like how they are sung in reality at the games, and annoy the f@ck out of real Rugby fans.

It's get your own back time !
