i took it on a phone uploaded it Via tapatalk, id say its about the half the size of a grown adults palm, its took up a good proportion of the hinge on a garden gate i was trying to fix.

If that is the case, a Female will if she allows the male to mate(doubtful)will eat the male anyway,i am not sure if the common garden UK spider has a natural predator,but lets hope she does not stray to close to the house and lay the eggs....i will be inclide to pm DerbyGull for assistance
