Scotland Slide In Rankings
Scotland have slipped to 86th place in the latest Fifa world rankings.

In 77th spot in the November rankings, Scotland have dropped 32 places in all during 2004, a testament to their poor form under ex-coach Berti Vogts.
England also dropped down the list - slipping from seventh to eighth - as did Wales, who fell from 63rd to 68th.
Northern Ireland remained in 107th place but the Republic of Ireland rose from 14th to 12th, reflecting their fine form under Brian Kerr.
Scotland are now behind Burkina Faso, Syria and United Arab Emirates and are ranked alongside Albania and Guinea.
I think Walter should just play some diddy international teams to get some wins and then we'll shoot up the rankings!

Only Iceland have fallen further than Scotland in the world rankings over the past 12 months.
Scotland will seek to improve their Fifa ranking under new coach Smith, whose first game in charge will be the World Cup qualifier in Italy in March 2005.
Brazil remain top of the rankings ahead of France and Argentina.
