Guess I will have to find out the news when I land.

Anyway, I have not been to the big apple before so any tips/places to go etc much appreciated from the NSC travel guide.

Make sure you get all the freebie magazines - Village Voice (for what's going on) and The Onion (bit like Private Eye with an American slant). Time Out New York is worth buying - you should be able to get it at Gatwick. You'll be in time for New York restaurant week - pretty good deals at a lot of places see "nycgo.com" for more info. If you have time try Nevada Smiths for the footie on Saturday. If you're doing the Empire State have a look in Foleys NY pub in 33rd street ( opposite the Empire State) - it's got a signed albion shirt on display at the back. Enjoy !

The signed shirt is my Sister's who died in 2004. Please be sure to visit Foley's and ask for my mate Shaun Clancy. He owns the place and is a Sports nut.
There is also an Albion 1983 Cup Final shirt and a Brighton Bears 'Skint' shirt in there; both mine.
All Palace stuff is banned.
