I went quite alot that season when they were second to Forest Green Rovers, not many times since. Its a shame whats happening there, its a good club....time for Owen Money to put his hand in his pocket.

Yeah I can remember that season. I think it was 99? Are you from the Merthyr area then? Very sad what is happening, on the brink of extinction a few months back.

i used to work for hoover, and had to go on a 5 week course at Merthyr...(pentrabach) ...spelling prolly a mile off.

anyhoo...i have never felt so unwelcome in my life. the people there fuckin HATED anything that wasnt from the local area, put that together with my experience at ninian park....and anything welsh can f*** right right off.
my missus is from abergevenny (spelling again)....and i fuckin hate her too.

seriously though, my experience of south wales people.....cardiff in particular has put me right off....ill never go there again.
a more unfriendly bunch ive never met before in my life.

Last time we played Cardiff at Ninian we met up with TLB who often posts here in his local pub. Him and his mates were fantastic company, a good laugh, and even arranged a minibus for us and them to get to the ground.

Top bloke, and everyone we met was very friendly.

Oh...........the playoff final was a pretty good too.
