I found Fab's comment very noteworthy about the need for the squad to have more physicality next season.

Which then made me think who might be most vulnerable to a move down the pecking order.
Lamptey, Cashin, Ayari, O'Riley?
Yeh, let's have a team of big strong boys - after all, George Graham's Arsenal were pretty exciting to watch, weren't they?

..........................oh.

I mean, it's a nice conversation, at best.

But it's a little bit cringe-worthy. Two dinosaurs of the game, who have never managed at this level, giving advice to a modern manager who is already playing a high standard of football than these have ever managed at.

I love Mark McGhee and Micky Adams for what they did here - but they are not really in the position to give Fab advice over anything.
Good job he didn't ask for their opinions on anything, then.

Oh...

3. How the f*** did this even come about?! Are we literally digging up anyone who's had any connection to our club ever (apart from he who must never be mentioned Gus Poyet) and inviting them back to some kind of gainful/ambassadorial appointment? Is there no end to our gravy train?!
McGhee and Adams were both at the club to honour Dick Knight in the end of season awards, so presumably a spin-off from that.

What McGhee said about man management and getting to know players is relevant an any club at any period of time
Mark McGhee famously very good at man management at the Albion… :lolol:

To be fair I’d find it difficult to deal with the absolute c*nts that were Colin Kazim Richards and Leon Knight.

And may I add until about December I thought he was shite. Proving he was worth the money game by game.
It’s quite possible he might be somewhere in between? Genuinely baffled at best player against Newcastle, he couldn’t cope with Newcastle’s wingers who were constantly skinning him on the outside. We would have been down to 10 if he’d stayed on the pitch a couple of more minutes, he was targeted and found out
