There is an awful lot of hearsay and speculation on this thread.

Fair point. From where I was I'd be reluctant to support anyl of the four people thrown out, but I think the one in question here is the bloke in the marroon away shirt thrown out before kick-off for being absolutely plastered and abusive towards staff.

I didn't see him.

nice having to explain that to my 8 year old watching

You've hit the nail on the head about why these incidents are so depressing.

Well said Yorkie.

I don't know anything about the fan either being ejected before the game or thrown out shortly afterwards, but there were two fans who were quietly asked to leave & did so, escorted by stewards. They did leave quietly & the police did not have to intervene. I would be extremely shocked if the racist comments came from either of these two. One of them I know not to have a racist bone in his body.

Fair enough mate, I can't say for 100% it was one of those two as I was watching the field at the time, but I am pretty sure thats where it came from, and it was a pretty sparsely populated corner of the allocation.

I second that. I will be very surprised if any of those two had said anything racist.

The lad that was thrown out before the game was just a kid, he was just too drunk and he will learn.

The other person to be thrown out, who has posted on this thread, was just disobeying orders to sit down. They seemed to need about 15 people to eject him.

Haven't read the rest of this thread but based on the first post:

I think your mates were the ones thrown out a few rows behind me. The crime they were ejected for may be petty, but I couldn't really feel sorry for them due to their constant abuse aimed at Brighton players, and an absolutely DISGUSTING racist comment about Leon Knight.

The other 2 i saw get thrown out were one bloke I saw absolutely hammered in the pub beforehand and was no shock, and some guy who appeared to be trying to hit a policeman,

ATFC I can promise that neither of the two people I am talking about are in the least bit racist. They are both known to many people on here who will vouch for that.

I will not deny that there were frustrated comments aimed at players but football is a passionate game and many things get said in the heat of the moment. Both these lads are among the most loyal supporters of the club home, away and at friendlies and any comments they made were more than likely also made by MM in the dressing room.

Fair enough. I think its only fair for me to retract my statement that they said something racist, based on the fact that I don't 100% KNOW it was them, and I really can't argue with so many "character testimonies", as it were.

Something really nasty was said and I really do think it came from one of those two, but I don't have any proof so it was out of line for me to put that it on here.

Standing at Hull

I didnt se the incident as it was behind me, heard the tale end of it, but surely it should apply to both clubs
Did anyone notic ethe comment by City Suporter s club in the programme, and the comment was that the Police and Stewards are asked to be more tolerant, especailly if it is not affecting anyone

Its an offence to be drunk at a football ground - FACT

Its an offence to chant racist songs and make racist comments - FACT

Its an offence to continually stand in a seated area - FACT

IMO the stewards has every right to throw these people out.

Rules are rules, and sometimes we all break the rules, some times we get caught and sometimes we dont.

But if we do break the rules and get caught we must expect to be punished, whatever our background.

Fair enough but NSC does love a witch hunt and no doubt a few people on this thread are enjoying the gossip because it is covering up the fact that they have nothing of interest going on in their own lives.

Speculation isnt going to help anyone and more then likely will have the old 'chinese whispers' effect which isnt fair on the individual (s) concerned.

How about stop the gossiping eh?

Personally I don't know who any of these people are, so I don't think I can really be accused of that myself. I'm just saying what I saw and from where I was it was quite embarassing.

I just dont think there is even a need to say that much to be honest.

Another case of NSC being the judge jury and executioner.

Considering a club official posts on here I think it is not fair to post hearsay etc.

I just hope the club are sensible enough to ignore the gossip on here.

We had the same problem with the stewards at sunderland last season. Right att he back of the second tier of a 48,000 capacity stadium and they ONLY sought to deal with the away fans and getting them to sit. SUNDERLAND fans were standing up all over the stadium and nothing was done bu the stewards.

one rule for the home fans and one for the away one methinks.
