Hughes injury leaves Albion with loan problem [The Argus]

Albion have been plunged into a loan dilemma after losing Aaron Hughes at Bournemouth tonight.
The veteran defender was stretchered off with an ankle injury in the early stages of the 3-2 defeat.
Hughes, filling in at right-back to give Inigo Calderon a rest, is Albion's cover centre-half for Gordon Greer and Lewis Dunk, who are both a booking from a ban.
The Seagulls will be forced into the loan market again if Hughes' absence is long-term but they have already borrowed five players - the maximum number permitted in the matchday squad - after re-signing Elliott Bennett on loan from Norwich for a month earlier today.
Boss Sami Hyypia told The Argus: "Maybe I need to start to train! The rule is you can have only five loan players and with Elliott coming we have five (Al-Habsi, Bennett, Gardner, Teixeira), so then we would leave to need somebody out.
"I don't know if that's a good idea but of course it's a concern if Aaron is out for a long while. It maybe would be reasonable to try to get somebody in."
The loan situation is complicated further by Hyypia's desire to sign a goalscorer, regardless of Adrian Colunga and Sam Baldock both hitting the target tonight.

Good news about the severity of Hughes' injury. He's already running, will miss tomorrow but available by the time we play Norwich.
