How the f*** do you get rid of Spyware?

This crap reminds me why I love BeOS so very very much.

This install of BeOS started off in a Thinkpad in 2001 and has moved laptop 6 times. And is still working, virus free.

The CW Shredder tool gets rid of the CoolWebSearch thing. As I understand it, the SP2 of Windows XP is supposed to close the exploit to prevent re-infection.


In general, I recommend SpyBot S&D. It is free and has an immunisation option that prevents most infections from happening in the first place. I can't remember the link, but do a google search or look in the links at www.michaelwray.co.nz.
