Isn't that more of an urban myth ? I mean, amusing, but not really the case.

He declined to extend his contract and left by mutual agreement at the end of the 2005/06 season. They finished 13th. The next season they were 19th and relegated. (https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charlton-athletic/platzierungen/verein/358).

Season before his last they were 11th and season before that 7th (the only time in the top 10 bar 00/01 season (9th)) and season before that 12th.

I’ve been saying this for a while but we’re going to have much better results away against teams like Burnley and Newcastle who’ll park their team coach in front of the posts at the Amex.

Lots of spilt beans on NSC over the draws against West Brom & Burnley but we’ll beat them away, you’ll see.

Perhaps the players should be taken on a drive around the M25 before home games. :jester:

Ah thank you.

Ok so it’s not quite at the level it was when this thread was started.

In any case we can all agree, at least we go away from home in with a shot of winning each game. Certainly a big upgrade that Potter has brought to our club amongst other things.

i think we were lucky v villa ....they were wasteful to say the least but we'll take every point we can get ....obviously .
Same amount of clear cut chances I would say. Could have gone either way.
