Drinking in The Rosendale in Dulwich...too close to Palace...One pint of mild was under 5p! But only earn £3 per week then

£5 in the whip got you about 2 & 1/2 pints. Happy days, Now it won't buy you one in many London pubs.

My local pub in May 87 was £ 1.08 Fosters 5% stuff and £1.04 for a Carlsberg ,Bitter was 87 p a pint.My local legion was selling Kronnie for 65p,but i was on £38 a week.

1976, Delamere Park Club in Cheshire, Greenall Whitney Mild 25p a pint.

Me and my mates were all underage but no-one bothered as long as we stayed in the Pool Room and didn't get too p*shed. :drink:

Bob Carolgees of TISWAS fame also lived there and I occasionally beat him at Pool when he would show an impressive vocabulary which wasn't shared with Saturday morning ITV viewers. :ohmy:
