I can recommend not spending anything on Xmas presents at all. It's extremely liberating, and the money saved can be used to pay for a week in the Canaries in the first week in January when the crowds and the tourists have gone. Back of the NET! :clap2:

Err.. probably don't look a lot but bearing in mind I'm a student and therefore not working full-time it aint too bad..

About £80 on my girlfriend
£50 on my mum
£50 on my dad
£30 on my big bro
£30 on my little bro

so that adds up to.. £240.. shit that is a lot! Think of what else I could've spent that on haha

Looks like £900 thus far with more to go...

On my (still) wife - £250 or so.
On my partner - £150 or so (lots more to do here).
On my daughter - £100 or so (at 4 and with everything, doesn't need or want anything 'big').
On my Mum - £200 or so.
On others - £200 or so.

Woah, sod the christmas presents, let's go here!

You have a wife you are spending £250 on AND a partner? Now, I realise this isn't exactly uncommon, and I may have missed something, but you have just admitted that as though it is TOTALLY normal:lolol:

Nah. I have to buy for my wife (we're not still together, obviously) from me, but also from my daughter as 4 year olds are just crap with money - she never has any to speak of. In addition, it's her birthday shortly after Christmas so I've been a bit cheeky this year and bought something to cover both.

I will, undoubtedly, spend more on my partner but it's been a bit of a struggle this year thus far.

And with that, your morals are restored!

Whilst you obviously have to pay for your daughter to give her mum something, why have you spent £250?

I mean, it does away the possible realism that your daughter bought it herself!!

I wouldnt spend £250 on an ex, married or not!

Simply, she's still someone who is important to me and I think it's good to treat people at Christmas if I am able.
