Is that all? Normal STH get 1,000 so surprised its not, in itself, enough to get tickets in the first wave of away ticket sales (normally about 1200?)

Yep, and 1901 is analogous to gold (auto-cup) membership, so the differential is even smaller. Not that I'm complaining, it seems fair enough to me.

I know many 1901ers whose DD is £120 per month for 5 years, and they paid a non-returnable £1,175 (when VAT was 17.5%) initially.
= £8,375 for 5 years.
I assume these are the platinum (more central) seats?
Add Bennetts Field parking at £360 per year x 5 = £10,175. £2,035 per season.

But the incremental consideration received over say a £550 per season ticket, is free tea/coffee, free programme, access to a lounge, seats wider by the thickness of an armrest, and being made to wear a lanyard.

Yep - that's the platinum seats. Don't forget that if they renew in 2 years time, they don't have to pay the £1175 again, as that is the price for a lifetime licence. Also, you only pay the BF parking fee if they got a single seat - you get a free space for every two seats bought.

Your maths is correct, but it reflects the worst case scenario and assumes that they don't renew...

EDIT: check out the FAQ on the 1901 website - friendlies are included. For me, at least, Brighton U21 games played at the AMEX were too.

Yes, I should have been clearer that I meant BHAFC U21...

Ah sorry, yes didn't include those ones, I thought you meant the England U21 games.

So for the second 5 years, for 2 seats with a 'free' parking space:

£120*60*2 / by 2 / by 5 seasons = £1,440 per seat per season, or simply £120*12.

On a separate subject, the Gold and Platinum members I know, thought the sit-down meals were awful and poor value. Now avoid them at all costs.

With a £91.00/month DD (post 5#) and 26 matches this season? That's an average of £42.

54.83 per game if you're a platinum member

Notwithstanding whether you'd need to buy x5 individual parking permits, is the price really £360pa? I paid £270 in the UoS last season.

Someone else mentioned that you get first choice of away tickets. I never have (though if I should have done, pls let me know!). What you definitely do get is 1100 LP as a default, which certainly helps!

That was being mooted by Messrs Perry and Brown at the presentations for 1901 pre Amex opening but was very swiftly forgotten about when the club membership book was sent out!

Ah. tbh, I think the current system is about right. 1901 members get 50 LP more than Gold members (Gold get 1050, right?), which reflects, I suppose, the greater financial contribution to the club. For most away games, LP aren't a consideration (3? games this season), but where they have been, just being a 1901 member wouldn't have been enough, certainly for the first tranche of tickets.

To me, this is right - if S/T holders have built up LP through early season attendance of lots of away games, they should get first dibs.

I suppose I may have felt differently if I hadn't got loads of LP from attending away games too, but I like to think that I'd still feel the same...

5 of us share 2 parking spaces, cost of which is included in the 1901 price.

if platinum is £125 + vat = £150 pm the annual cost is 12 * £150= £1800

divide by say 26 matches = £69.23 per match

Not a 1901er myself, but the (2011 original) Platinum members I know pay £120 per month DD inclusive of vat.

Not sure if the club have upped that price for newer entrants since?

As you say, if.

However, I believe it is £99+ VAT.

Well, that's what I pay.

There are two levels of Platimum: platinum and platinum plus. One is 99 + VAT and the other is 125 + VAT.

Platinum Plus? That's ridiculous. Just call it Diamond or something. What next, Platinum Plus Two?

Diamond is not keeping with the metallic theme though is it? And Rhodium doesn't sound as good as Platinum Plus does it?
