I reached the 5000 mark last night after burning some quality punk band from Boston called The Freeze! And I still have quite a few CDs too burn yet

my 20gig walkman is filling up fast, music from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, AC/DC, tons of Punk from The Clash, Ruts, Rancid, Offspring etc etc etc right down to Metallica, Slipknot, Pearl Jam & Ugly Kid Joe!

Marvelous!

Still entrenched with CDs
When I download MP3s I immediately convert them to .wav files for audio CDs.
I was 10 years behind everyone in converting my vinyl and DAT tapes etc to CD, so it may be 2020 before I take the next giant leap!!!

may I ask why? Nero burner burns them straight from MP3 to Audio as does many other CD burning software, hella quicker than converting THEN burning.

what prog. do you use to convert mp3-wav & vice versa OTLW?

I use the Steinberg Get it On CD suite.
But also the XP plus pack has an MP3 converter

I didn't know that!
Just got into a habit of converting them first ... I'll try it tonight!

anyone remember audio galaxy. That was quality! you could leave the program open at home and logon at a different pc, go to the site and select the tunes to download to your home pc.
I use to sit at work downloading loadsa tunes and when i got home they'd all be there.

Use soulseek now!

Used to have about 500 before my computer crashed and blew up, so I've had to start again ... so much easier with broadband though

In line with my posts about not playin computer games and never having seen the Simpsons, I can admit to having precisely no MP3s.

And I don't have a DVD player either (just in case that comes up next) :)
