I have to adnit that I expected it to catch the 4:43 Thameslink to Bedford and was rather stunned when it hit the back of the net.

Still, dreadful defending by the Coventry wall (thank God !)

I hoped that he would hit it AT the wall and teach them a lesson to not to stand in his way. Perhaps other clubs will watch and take note and not stand in direct flight for fear of getting a smack in the face. I was hoping to getr a rebound from the wall.

I said out loud, "This'll go straight into the wall!"
Then 2 complete strangers were laughing their heads off & hugging me!

I used my mate's ticket to take a Coventry fan I know. I told him to relax, and that even if the wall and goalkeeper were removed it still wouldn't hit the target. Still, he was gracious enough to sort of celebrate when it went in.

Who was it in D block who shouted: 'Hold the trains!'

The old boy behind me who has an awful lot to say for himself and gives a running commentry on how badly we are playing came out with a blinder. I Quote..

' NO NO NO ADAM THATS STUPID 40 YARDS OUT DON'T BE SILLY ADAM.. OH THIS IS RIDICULOUS ARE WE REDUCED TO A FULL BACK TAKING A POT SHOT FROM 40 YARDS. CHRIST IF THIS GOES IN IM THE QUEEN OF SHEEBA'

and we all no what happened next

I think my exact words were (whilst turning to the people around me) what do we reckon, down to the London Road, in the trees behind the stadium or straight into the wall, the response came back 'I don't know, all I do know is it won't go in'.

I was so convinced it was going nowhere I was slouched back in my seat so far that I bruised both my shins on the back of the seat in front when jumping up to celebrate.

Even better than my comment literally two seconds before Leon scored v. Chesterfield at home last season that we just don't look like scoring, everyone heard me and laughed at me then as well.
