I had a quite re-estimate before I left for work and found that I had over 1,000 - where the hell did they all come from?

Add that lot to my 2,000 books and it's no wonder that we're running out room.

Time for Mrs G to cut down on her clothes collection methinks :)

Haven't counted recently ... between 1,000 and 1,200 - of which about 600 are Bob Dylan or Dylan related CDs ....

Sold all my vinyl a few years ago for which I am merrily pissed off (ex-wife cajouled me into it, because they took up too much room) and there are still some I have never been able to replace on CD and even those I have, I miss the LP sleeves (eg Ogdens Nut Gone Flake and Ooh La La)

Music (listening and playing) has always been my first love - long before I discovered @@@!

i am having to re buy my tape albums as cd's as the tapes are degrading:angry:

Yep, I've always thought it degrading to have tapes rather than "the real thing" ;)

I had about 350 albums and 250 singles on vinyl when CDs hit the street. Now got over 300 CDs and rising fast again.

I used to be addicted to buying records and couldn't go in a record shop without buying something (honest!). I often buy albums when I only know 1 track, but don't go in for the buying on a whim just to see what it's like.

By the way, Fourteenth Eye, you didn't tell us how many you've got. ???

I stopped counting around 500, probably about 750. Can understand why OTLW misses his vinyl. CD's are more practical but I miss the sleeve designs the size of LP's allowed.

No idea but probably well into four figures and Mrs Foot is always asking if I need ALL of them, when some of them I hardly ever play. How silly. Of course I need all of them - even the ones that I have never even unwrapped. Lots are in boxes / cupboards etc. unfortunately due to lack of room. And lots are unheard due to lack of time - I get many of them free :)

Don't know about more practical, you can't roll spliffs on a CD cover. :)

Like socks. I'm always getting random CDs turn up all over the house.

Exactly, I have lots of CD's in the car and lots in my room, most of them not in their proper cases.

I've lost loads of vinyl over the years, some quite rare and expensive too.
Either it gets nicked at parties or I lend it out pissed and forget who to. Either way, it's bloody annoying :nono:
