How long does it take to walk from Brighton Station to Madeira Drive?

This is not a silly question. I usually only come to Brighton by train when I go to Churchill Square, the theatre, or to the club shop. I will have to get the afternoon off next Monday, and I need to know how fine I can cut it, or whether I need to take the whole afternoon off.
