How good is our strike force compared to others?

He played a full season for Aeslund in the Norwegian top flight, then without a break signed for Palace and played almost every game for us too.

according to wiki (that font of all knowledge) he played 15 times in 2011 for Aeslund and then 39 for you which admittedly is a lot of games but not really anywhere near 100

Thankfully you're not me. I wouldn't even dream of taking 17th next season. We'll be disappointed if we don't get a top 10 finish.

Seriously?

If Palace fans share the same optimism before the season starts you will be doomed. As it won't take long before their high expectations start to get dashed and turn to getting on a struggling teams back. If I was you I would lower expectations and clap every time you get the ball over the halfway line.

Getting your some of your seats padded is to distract you from the decay both on and off the pitch.

Parr på vei til England - sport - Dagbladet.no Google translate. Even without it, you can still see QPR and Swansea.

Parr played almost 100 games last season. He was absolutely knackered by the end of it. Also, we weren't "shit" last season. Our first XI was easily good enough to finish in the top 10, unfortunately our squad didn't have the depth required. In the last 2 months pretty much all of our players got injured and our kids/reserves had to play every game, which they simply weren't ready for. We slipped down to 17th which was the lowest we had been all season.

That link doesn't say they made an offer at all. Clubs are linked with players all the time but don't actually make an offer. Usually just Agents touting players and getting it out there. Is that all you have to back up your statement? We have a trialist right now that Arsenal and Spurs were interested in, yet he's with us on trial.

If Parr had been offerered any deal by QPR or the Swans he wouldn't be with you. But he's not all that, so they didn't, so he plays for Palace.

Bookies seem to have you fourth favourite for the drop. Hmmm yes they can get it wrong. I got you 3rd favourite for the drop.

Good thread until the Palace bollocks kicked in

Must admit am coming round to the idea that a class CM may be enough for a PO push

Agree with the Palace bit but couldn't resist. Sometimes taking the bait is fun too. Tho I think we started it.

13-14th is better than I was thinking. Still think its a weak spot in comparison to the rest of our very strong team. I feel our setup does make it less important but if we did manage to get a striker, current or new, scoring plenty we might have similar success to our last year in div 1. Certainly a 20 goal player would make a massive difference. I like to think completing Gus's jigsaw is key. So a box to box midfielder and another striker as well as CMS and Barnes would do it.

Guys, Seaside is clearly Glenn-Murray returned to haunt us. Only he is capable of drowning our board in his fanciful palarse propaganda. Only a true village idiot could believe this:

Everyone else, including the bookies can see that palarse are one of the relegation fodder clubs.

Get a hobby dude.

Reading won the league with their two top scorers scoring the same number of goals as our two leading scorers

Yes it can be done.

Still would make a big difference if we have a 20 + goalscorer this season. And yes he might already be in the team. Still you can swing things to make it more likely. If also we signed the next bobby Zamora then how would you feel?

Our chance conversion rate last season was better than all the teams except the promoted clubs.

Oh i'd be over the moon if we sign a 20+ goal scorer/next Zamora, i was more responding to the doom and gloom merchants who have us in a relegation battle because we haven't signed a striker. I don't understand the pessimism, i always have a hugely optimistic feeling about every coming season building over the summer generally enhanced by not seeing them play only to have my hopes dashed after the first few games and when we haven't signed anyone. Recently however i haven't had that come down as the last few years have been brilliant and still people manage to be pessimistic! have they no memory?

I've been on this all night. After some extensive research I can reveal that the answer is 4.3. Hope that helps.
