20 minute walk but you pass a good five or more pubs during that time so it make take a little longer

about 20 mins walk I think, Watford High Street is just round the corner (well about a third of the distance)

Most trains you'll need to change at the Junction for the High Street, but there are direct services from Euston.

If you decide to go for Watford High Street you're looking at about 40 mins from Euston (if you get a direct train or not)

I reckon that's quicker than walking from Watford Junction..

Watford have a map on their website.

Sorry it looks like its actually QUICKER to change at Watford Junction for Watford High Street rather then get the direct train.

Don't go via Euston if you have a Southern Railway cheap ticket as they are not valid.

According to my search on QJump yesterday, getting to Watford High Street is quicker via Watford Junction, but coming home is better to get a train to Willesden Junction and change there for a train to Clapham Junction.

Strange thing is that is seems to take longer to get home, even utilising the direct train from Watford Junction. I thought it would be quicker down hill. :jester:

By the way, as I haven't got a ticket yet, which end is the away end nowadays?

Might go drinking in Harrow & Wealdstone :drink:

There is a mental Irish pub just across the road from the station.

Went in there once after falling asleep on the train (should of got off at 3 Bridges) There was some big Irish bloke with hands the size of shovels and his best mate started fighting with each other because he cheated at dominoes!!

Bar maid was nice
:p
