How do I take a screen shot?

for a mac?

I've googled it and it tells me to press 'command, shift and 3'. I have a hybrid mac/p.c keyboard and don't appear to have a 'command' key. Are there any other ways?

Whats a mac/pc hybrid keyboard?

compatible with both. When I bought it most of the keyboards(according to their boxes) were only compatible with p.c's or macs. This one, apparently, is usable with both. I am frankly a moron when it comes to computers(hence the original question) so I have no idea if most keyboards can be used with either system.

On my laptop I use the 'PrtSc' (print screen) button, which copies the screen image to the clipboard, then paste it into paint.

Shift+command+4 is for a screen capture, once you press the 3 keys (together) you can capture what part you want, like resizing a pic in iPhoto.
