I think it was my brother that first told me about it in November 1997. Know for certain that my first post was the day after Hereford knocked us out the F.A. Cup in the first round. It was titled 'Gritt Out'.
One thing I remember about it back then was that it was an absolute pain in the arse to find (pre-.co.uk URL).
To date NSC has yeilded the following:
Approx 20 new friends.
4 death threats.
2 shags.
1 cheap mobile phone.
Was using North Stand Chat in 1996 (the Richard Vaughan / Fans United thread). Had to go on a re-habilitation programme for about two years as it took up too much of my life. In reality, it became full of wankers, and couldn't be arsed with the shite I was reading.
Caught up with it again about a year ago. To my dismay, I discovered that NSC hasn't changed. It's just that I have.

I was in the Bridge when Data intercepted a transmission from the Borgs that they set up a new wesbite to hide messages away from Humans. They we're using a message board disguised as some lowly English football team, upon signing upto this board in the disguise of Allo Allo's police officer Crabtree I soon found out it was just full of nerds...most of whom are now my friends
Used to browse around 3-4 years ago, posted occasionally back then but fully started earlier this year when I got an IT job.
A friend I used to work with used to live in Brighton - and had a spare ticket one weekend, me being bored at work decided to do a little web surf about all things Brighton before I went, and I came across the Rivals web site... after seeing some utter nonces and their scrawls in there I was quite dismayed...however someone in there mentioned North stand chat....me being the nosey one - promptly searched and there is was!! It looked a little like a directory of folders and quite simple but hey - it worked!!
And then someone wrote a thread about 18 months ago called "The Church of North Stand Chat"...... and the rest they say is history.....
The day I got word that we were sigining Bobby I "googled" for a suitable site to alert supporters of the overly generous 16-1 odds that were being offered by for Div3 by "Chase" bookmakers in Eastbourne
Bit simular to tedebear. Upon getting my first pc in 98 and starved of Albion news for several years, had a nose around and found it via Albion album. SEAGULL USA appeared not long after, to everyones disappointment.
About 5 years ago when I was first introduced to the internet at uni, thought it was amazing then but has yet to ever get back to that stage since, which is a shame, but I've still spent many an hour on here since then at my employers expense!
