Yes - Sheila Player back in the Council.

I've no political views either way but having worked with some of these people a couple of years ago, many of the Conservative members in Worthing are some of the most pompous, arrogant people around. Nick John and Paul High are two exceptions to that.

As for Ms Player, despite the bad press that was around, she is a hard working councillor and I'm glad she is back in the town hall to shake up some of the tories. I would guess that she'll take back the leadership of the Lib Dems from the puppet Burger Flipping Bob Smytherman.

Thats all very well, but they are lib dem fuckwits.

Only two East Sussex Districts had elections yesterday.

The LibDems lost one of their 13 seats in Eastbourne. The Tories are still in control.

And they still have five seats in Hastings, where they are the third party. The Tories now have an overall majority in Hastings for the first time since 1979.

Yep and they still have 2 seats in Crawley, Torys managing to gain 3 seats to take Crawley to Tory Council Control for the first time since 1971.

They lost control round here, no thanks to me because I couldn't get away from work to vote.

I'm sure the Vauxhall Lib Dem who posts on here is very disappointed.

I havent really paid much attention because I'm been at work all hours for the last 2 weeks, but there was some Labour literature that came through the post implying some serious financial mis-management. I was surprised because I assumed Labour would get a kicking, but perhaps the people round here quite literally vote in local elections for local reasons and issues.

Hello Clapham Gull! Hope its all going well with you.

Disappointed certainly - but just like any good Albion supporter, I know that this year's disappointing news does not mean you give up.

The financial mismanagement was a load of old bollocks - but of course this is an attack from the Lambeth Labour Party, which left Lambeth Council with over £870 million of long term debt to pay off.

Now they are back in power, they have another 4 years to completely screw things up again...

Just re-read my post, didn't wish to imply that anything dodgy went on.

Just what I read on a leaflet...

Our Vauxhall friend is very much pro Falmer.

No problem, realise you were just reporting things as you see them.

As you say, I am very much pro-Falmer.
