got to birmingham new street when we heard it was off, so ended up in the home end for wolves v preston - £3.80 a hotdog, i reckon it was a blessing in disguise that adams was appointed now to stop us getting promotion

still, a pretty nice CIDER available in the ground

Didn't go to a game at all today, my first choice was postponed until tomorrow, the Albion was my second choice...will probably go to the game now, depending on when it takes place...spent a very nice day doing things that I don't usually have time to do on a Saturday due to being at footy.

Then you missed the best food at a football ground ever. Opposite the pub on the corner of the ground - a mobile tandoor - Samosa, pakora, naan, chicken tikka and relishes for £4.50.

I can't believe that any footy ground food can beat Kidderminster, theirs is amazing, all freshly cooked...Aggbrough soup is brilliant.

good point well made - their hotdogs took home the coverted mccarthy prize for hotdog of the season in 2000/01 by a country MILE - i had never had the privilege of nibbling on such a good sausage before then, or indeed since

it is pretty much a sausage HAVEN isnt it? there is one pub up whose name escapes me now that i have taken a particular liking to, as it offers SEVEN different sausages for selection with sausage and mash - combine it with the PLETHORA of real ciders on offer, and you have a lunch that dare i say even julius ceasar would be happy with

Spent the afternoon on Betfair. Was really looking forward to today, especially as I haven't been to Walsall before. The 0-0 result between Liverpool and Stoke brought a smile to my face though...

Was looking for a match to attend instead of Walsall, and in hindsight I probably should have actually got on the train I had booked and gone to Molineaux.

In the end though I enjoyed a cinema double-bill or "The Reader" (dissapointing) and "Slumdog Millionaire" (fantastic!). So the day was not lost.

Driving back from Walsall :(

Unfortunately, our hostess was really ill this morning, too, so even the social visit was a washout.
