2 and a half laps (two full laps on the outer path and a lap using the path that cuts across the middle) is 5k......this is the Saturday morning fun run course.

1800m (full lap) and 1400m (if you cut across the middle).

Jim Marshall (ex Police Chief) lives in Goldstone Crescent - so no rabble get anywhere near and you'll never see an abandoned car!!

Anyone been to Easthill Park, Portslade recently? Now, that's a proper park! Was in there virtually every day between 1976 & 1980 - and no, I wasn't the parky. Even saw my mum getting dropped off by her fancy man which was a bit of a shock to a 9yr old!

Nearly caught a squirrell there once.

I was born very close by in Goldstone Way and when we were over on holiday in August we went to HP on a nostalgia trip for me one day and I thought it was great - one of the best playgrounds I came across during the month, my kids absolutely loved it and as usual managed to get very dirty......

I took my two normally named lads there yesterday afternoon for a kickabout and so they could burn off some pent up boisterous energy. My eldest lad approached two older kids in footy tops playing in one of the goals and asked to join in which they agreed to. Eventually their Dad and me joined in and we had a good game of 2 v 2 with their dad in goal. Although I could see what shirts they were wearing I asked what teams shirts they had on, "The best team in the World of course" one replied. With a puzzled look I replied, "But they look like Tottenham shirts!" cue the banter. Had all the, "Who do you support then" etc and they & their Dad gave all the usual premiership superiority bullshit and the incredulous "Why do you support them, they are a crappy League 1 team!". I was very proud of my 7 Year old when he suddenly ripped off his fleece to reveal his Albion shirt gave a blood curling scream of Seagulls and then whilst running with the ball gave a self commentary as if he was Inigo Calderon and curled one past the hapless Dad in goal! This was followed by the shirt over the head in celebration and shouts of 'Who are ya!' to the bemused Spurs contingent. What they couldn't comprehend was my reply to the question, "So what premiership team do you support then?", my reply of "We don't we support Brighton". Has anyone else experienced this form of Premiership snobbery?

Avoided the kiddies playpark area as it was chock full of labelled up parents and kids trying to find their Range rover keys buried in the sand.
classic, nice one - people are simply dumbfounded that my Aussie accented 6 year old wears his new Albion shirt any chance he can get rather than an EPL or a Perth Glory one....
