house of commons protesters: shoot them?

as 10cc say, not in hove
a serious point this one.

given the present security concerns about a terrorist attack, do you think like me that we are remarkably tolerant (if that is the right word) about people breaching security of the centre of our political establishment?

i think that the time has come to state publicly: attack the house of commons (or lords, or buck house for that matter) and in future we'll shoot first, ask questions later.

what do you think?

send 'em to jail for 3-6months would do me. MPs then complain that Jails are over crowded....build bigger/more jails would do me!

I thought the protesters were fantastic - and the pompous posturing of the MPs afterward was hysterical. And they wonder why the public have no respect for them. :nono:

I've often been a critic of our police, but you do begin to have some sympathy with them when they are hamstrung by red tape from actually protecting people.

I've spent a bit of time in Turkey this year, and while obviously no-one would want the sort of corruption that is still endemic over there the fact is crime is low in the country. People are shit-scared of the police, they (obviously) don't want to go to prison, we've all (even if they haven't) seen the film.

There are many countries where in the current climate over terrorism they would think twice about that sort of protest at the moment for fear of being shot. People don't think twice about it over here, and take the freedoms for granted. They could easily have been terrorists. Time for a crackdown.

Can we try them for treason and then hang them? Or are we no longer allowed to hang people for treason. Not often I support the OB, but it gave me a warm glow watching nature's nazi's people battered.

To top it all off their spokesperson that was interviewed on Channel 4 was called Porstia (or something similar). She was not a worker. It did seem like the Serfs day out, as the Earl had told them to go and support his hobby.

I did find it particularly amusing watching the police and the countryside toffs whacking seven bells out of each other. Now that's what I call SPORT.

You can still be hanged for High Treason or starting a fire in a Naval shipyard, or both if you're feeling really dangerous.

The 'frontliners' didn't look like 'toffs' to me - but I see what you mean!

I think they were right to do what they did, if my livelyhood was at stake i would have done the same. I hope they dont get charged and hunting is allowed to continue for many marvellous years to come.

No problem as long as it's clear. Protest outside - fine, cross this line - bang.

I can just see the laser beam on the Batman character. Thwack! as he topples to the floor in front of the tourists.

In the House of Commons even better, how many MPs would have been mown down in the cross-fire?

the police should go to the next hunt with the biggest f*** off nags they've got and thay can have a massive jousting and fighting with sticks and shooters type thing in a massive field, dogs as well blood hounds VS Alsatians, the winners decide whether to ban hunting, end of.

Gareth can run the book

get Mel Gibson to produce the film and hey presto, a hollywood blockbuster, that will pay for the St Johns Ambulance :lolol:

The rightness of the cause isn't the point though. Personally I don't give a shit about hunting, wouldn't do it myself, but think it's wrong to ban it. Next time it might be something I enjoy that gets banned.

The point is our tolerance of people running amok and threatening security at a tense time. It's got to stop.

Well surely trying to topple Her Majesty's Government is treason, so string the buggers up.

Yes, it is treason, but it's not high treason. The latter consists of endangering (or ending!) the life of the monarch or his/her immediate heir, or any other act which threatens the Royal line (which is why Hewitt could have been tried for high treason).

No chance of a technicality. Once they are gone there is not much chance of being able to do anything about it.

All joking aside (you wags) there's nothing I like better than getting all dressed up and chasing a fit young bitch around the countryside until she's so knackered she can't go on and I can pounce on her with my mates and smear myself in her blood. Lovely.
