Hourly rates for office temps?

My 17 year old son is looking for temp office work for the summer ... can anyone give me an idea of what hourly rate should he be looking for? I said £7 and he thinks that's high

i heard through a mate that did it up here that he got about 9-10 for it but he could have just been lucky

I was on £4.50 the summer when I was 15. £5.50 the same company the next summer. Agencies tend to be offering about £6-8 so thats what to expect going through agencies.

Get him to go on reed.co.uk and look at the some local jobs. That should give him an indication of what rates to expect. Heck, he could even apply for some...
