I would personally go on the A22, more direct route, rather than A27 A23 even though it will take slightly longer, I would give myself an hour and fifty minutes to allow for hold ups

A23 to Bolney, A272 to Buck Barn (A24), A24 to Horsham and straight into Town Centre, job done IMHO

A23 to Bolney, then A272 to Cowfold, then go up the A281, which will take you directly in to Horsham Town Centre. Job Done!

Is it easily signposted ? I have to be there for 9 thinking of leaving brighton 7.20

You cant go wrong if you follow Zeffs route.

off A23 at Bolney onto A272 this is signposted to Billingshurst. A272 at Cowfold two mini roundabouts right at first straight over at second both signposted Horsham.

Then follow A281 into my fine town.

Brighton to Horsham is normally 30 mins, even allowing for a bit of morning traffic you're giving yourself plenty of time.
As has been posted above, A23 to Bolney, A272 to Cowfols then A281 to Horsham. The A281 becomes the Brighton road once you get to the edge of the town, then Queen Street once you get a bit further.

Probably the least chance of getting lost this way. If you can get yourself on the A24 you just need to follow the signposts.

Edit* Or go the A281 route, didn't think of that.

Double Edit ** Or go the A281 route, didn't think of that!
