Great place for all inclusive. Warm and good beaches ( slightly rough seas though ). For the price great value.

Sal was OK - bit barren but Boa Vista was better.

Highly recommended given the short flight and price.

Didn't do any trips ( there's not a lot to see ).

If you want a do nothing holiday, without kids, and with decent beaches then go for it. I was amazed how many moaners there were though - guess much like the Amex !

As above - Always windy but great for tanning! Wonderful beaches.

Best to go all in as not a lot there. Bit of entertainment in the hotels but not a lot for kids. We went to Sal in a 5* Rui hotel and loved it. £1400 for a week in Jan and it was 20-23 almost every day.

Lots of locals trying to sell stuff, trips etc which are actually cheaper than the tour operators but a simple no thank you sends them packing.

We went last year to Boa Vista, stayed in the Thomson all inclusive 5*. It was really nice for a week, I wouldn't want more as there is
bugger all to do but pool and beach, but if you want pool and beach its perfect. The food was good and the staff really helpful.
Lovely weather and a good family holiday. Highly recommend, especially compared to Canaries etc

Mum and Dad went a couple of years ago (sorry I can't remember what month!). They didn't go all inclusive and didn't have a very good time. It was windy constantly, overcast and there wasn't anything to do.

If you can get a good hotel and can be sure of the weather I'd imagine you'll be alright, but the general feeling from them and some friends of mine who went there for their honeymoon, is that it's a little overhyped.
