If this horrible situation does manifest itself (and I have a VERY uneasy feeling about it) - and if we come through our replay next week, I can guarantee there will be 2500 very angry Geordies baying for blood...

I was wrong about this, sorry all, nothing to see here.

I think there has been some vulnerability to Hinch's position for some time now and I felt your information might be correct.

Some seem to be 'anti' Hinch, maybe for his brief tenure as first team manager and others due to his position of 'decision making' on so many Sussex youngsters with the inevitable disgruntled parent syndrome.

Munkfish, did your original information come from a reliable source and if so do you think this is just a 'stay of execution' on his position or in actual fact his role was never in doubt as the information was just plain wrong. ( not a dig by the way ).

It came from a very reliable source, just lets say i jumped the gun a bit.

however I still feel the same as you in terms of the 'Anti Hinsh' camp. not quite sure how much longer he will stay though.

Wasn't there a rumour he was offered redundancy but was holding out

Could this position not be overcome when the academy is built by appointing an "academy manager/director" thus doing away with the position of director of football or would the employment laws say it was the same position.

I do and will always fall into the disgruntald parent not only for the way they treated my son but how he and the c of e has conducted its self over the years which has lead to dozens of young talent being snapped up by our rivals. I will always be bitter and twisted over it he just wanted a fair go and after 3 weeks we left ,coaching and comunication and honesty were sadly very lacking ,some of the parents told me he wouldnt have much chance as the other lads dad was a mate of the manager .When ever I see hwood and Bragg I get filled with rage and I want to hurt them ,but what would that solve I know this sounds extreme but when you see you own son in tears being f***ed over by the club he loves and supports you do get f***ing angry .

You mean Jason Prior and yes he did score and by all accounts he did well so much so that they want to see him in another game.

not quite what I read......'he did well, but not good enough for Newcastle, other clubs were watching him and they might pick him up.'

As a matter of interest, did your son make it elsewhere?

I played a couple of games for the c of e a few years back. I was never quite up to that level but looking back the standard of coaching was quite poor compared to what you would expect.
