If you're talking about news and sport websites, it's probably because the pay Getty a small ongoing retainer for use of their images.

Really? Where?

It's highly unusual to see full-size images released onto the Net.

Image libraries have vicious legal departments - they make a huge amount from suing people over image misuse on the Net.

Still, not my problem, so I'll leave it to Bozza/the mods.

Update: just checked via our work account with Getty. They're subscription images, not individually rights managed, which isn't so bad - but, of course, NSC still doesn't have rights.

There posted onto a Football Graphics site called Footyarts. They get the images off a site called elibrary i think as they have a paid account on there. We never get any in trouble tho. Oh well i just thought it would be nice to share these as you dont usually get pictures of this high quality.
