Found on Whitehawk Hill. I'd like to think it's something extremely ancient and important. But maybe it's not. Having cleaned the crap off, I can tell you it's hammered copper. Or maybe bronze.

I'd like to say something clever and amusing but you have stupified me there. As if I'd been tonked on the back of the head in the 1930s by an angry fish wife wielding a long *copper spoon (which was damaged during the assault).

*Could have been bronze.

The long lost Saxon Cup Of Life, last seen in 625AD.

You’re about to become very rich.
Not after she's gone and blooming well scrubbed off the hallmark during the cleaning up exercise.

Thank you, your answers have all been very helpful. I think I'll choose the Saxon Cup of Life, so off the the British Museum tomorrow morning pronto for verification and valuation to the nearest million. Don't think it's the Holy Grail as it isn't fancy and bejewelled as you'd naturally expect.

Is it the scorched remains of Ulloa's penalty ball after surviving re-entry?
