I think everyone must purchase a bald wig to honour the man for the Huddersfield and Stockport game!

Gary Hart is a lot like Jesus when you think about it.

and to all those that asked why the f*** we offered him a new contract at the start of the season? Well there is your answer, a guy that plays his balls off for the club and gets results. He is worth more than all the loan players MA got in put together

And to think Harty himself was posting on NSC to the fuckwits at the start of the season trying to justify why he should be given another contract.

You're right and Harty is a god, and this is the most amazing transformation. Circa 2002 before he broke his leg he was a special player and its as if hes got that level of sharpne back!

He is born again, a back-heeling, quick flickin', defender murderin' genius.
Posh Spice must be dreaming of the lad every night again just like the old days

those things were never in doubt, what people (or at least what I though) was that he wasn't up to it any more on the footballing side, not the spirit. I've never been happier to be wrong.

HART v JESUS: WHO IS THE GREATEST?

Kindness: Jesus 10, Harty 7
Jesus off to flyer in this category. Known to have given his life for mankind, it was always a tall order for Hart to match, but Harty is a bubbly character and empathises with fellow squad members out of the first team. Propensity to get arsey and have opposing players sent off lets him down though.

Patience: Jesus 9, Harty 7
Jesus showed remarkable restraint, even in the knowledge that Peter would deny him three times and his mate Judas would later betray him, he still sat down for tuck and waited for these people to help themselves to bread before he himself had any. OGH has rarely featured this season but has taken his chance when it finally came, keeping him in the hunt in this category.

Miracles:Harty 5, Jesus 9
Jesus was the only lad ever to achieve miracles. Curing leprosy and stuff wasn't beyond the fella. Harty just about scores in this category because Albion might stay up thanks to the 4 games in which he's recently featured and contributed heavily. Jesus loses a point because we all know the standard in the olden days was shit compared to modern days.

Strength of Character:Harty 9, Jesus 9
Jesus was the ultimate person in many ways. He forgave even his worst enemies, and only ever got angry when fully justified. He also led thousands of people to convert from convential Judaism at the time - a remarkable achievement. But Gary Hart is so strong in this department. You don't lead the line for a decade at the worlds greatest club without true character. Promotions, seemingly hopeless relegation battles, and spalkling while playing for a shit side 85 miles from home are all testament to this.

Crossing & Goalscoring:Harty 10, Jesus 0
Harty has been a Brighton legend for over a decade now. From the days when he played at Gillingham and was the only player worth paying to see, through to two championship seasons, a play-off victory and now leading the charge in a gritty relegation escape, he continues to defy his critics and match opponents alike. Even when not scoring, he's providing valueable assists. Chances to shine on this stage have been few and far between for the Jesus lad on the other hand, and so he fails to score in this category.

Final scores
OGH 38, Jesus 37
It's been a battle, but it's Gary Hart who comes out as Brighton's favourite son. Only just though, and what a tussle.
