And let's not forget all of their meatheads attacking anything that had a hint of blue and white on it-cars, people, etc. They were bound to be upset but they were f**king brutal in town (ask the guy with the blue BMW that had just about every panel kicked in).
Spot on. On leaving the ground me, my Dad and my brother were only saved from a kicking by a bunch of Hereford 'fans' by Riot Police. One broke through and was still spitting and screaming at us while two policemen struggled to hold him down in the street. My Dad's in his 70's for fucks sake. He was stationed in Hereford during his RAF spell of National Service and was really looking forward to going back there but couldn't wait to get the hell out of town as quickly as possible.
Sure some Brighton fans were no angels on that day but I can't believe we'd have been that vicious if the tables had been turned. Any sympathy I had for that club dissapeared that day.
