"I've backed so highly by Steve Staunton and Alan Kelly; they've shown tremendous support because they knew the situation I was going through at Brighton and the fact that the reasons I was out of the team had nothing to do with football and it was a great boost to have people in such high positions backing me all the way and now Paul has come in and taken me away from that and I want to get in with the lads and show what I can do."

Nothing to do with football? What in the blue HELL is going on?

Is he telling porkies, to sell himself to the PNE fans or has something happened we dont know about?

Sad to see him go.. personally i thought there was little to choose between him & Kuipers.

How did him having shit form in goal and getting dropped not have anything to do with football? f***ing twat.

And him falling over when in control of a FOOTBALL and directly costing us three points as well as him being hesitant coming off his line to catch a FOOTBALL on numerous occasions as well as him not being able to instruct his defence enough to let them know what to do with a FOOTBALL.

dont matter
You wouldn't join a new club then announce on the website that your previous club had dropped you for errors that had led to defeats would you!
Or maybe the Blooms wouldn't release any money until he was sold:ohmy:

I agree not alot between him and FDM but he seem to think he was top boy.

Wrong and the best result for everyone as he sulked far to often.

How did appearing in front of shit fans make him want to stay in a lower division than with PNE so that a bunch of fucktards could abuse him like at Bournemouth?

It wouldn't have done. I'm very happy he's gone. I think this whole debate has got very nasty. I believe Kuipers is currently the better keeper however I previously was beginning to warm to Henderson despite feeling he never had the same presence in goal however I think we should all move on.

Wayne Henderson will and good luck to him I think hes made the right decision to go and to be honest Im suprised he didn't do it sooner. Not sure if the Irish set up have talked him up to Preston but getting in there obviously has had an effect on his own view of his footballing ability. I wouldn't be suprised however if he is playing at a higher level than Preston in the future.

Hope the insider can reveal what he meant by

'they knew the situation I was going through at Brighton and the fact that the reasons I was out of the team had nothing to do with football '

:glare:

Wish him well, But glad he has gone don't want a player who doesnt want to be here.

I would have thought that it suits him, andy naylor, his new club and probably us (when negotiating his fantastic transfer fee) NOT to mention some of the 'football' reasons ;)

I remember seeing him against Preston at Deepdale last year and thinking he looked awful. Not quite sure what they have seen in him.

It's obvious what was meant. Some very vocal fans didnt want him in the team coz they love Kipper. Wendy didnt want to upset these fans so dropped him. Quite simple really and very sad at the same time. A very weak manager IMO.

Complete bollox.

Dropped for playing badly - that's what happens when you're a pro you know - and throws his toys out again.

Shame cos I think he's a good keeper, but if he wants out it's

personally i think it is a dig at the fans, because what he was saying a month or so ago was that he was enjoying working with Keeley and gave no hint of any problem with the staff.

congratulations - I didn't think you could sink any lower than some of your earlier outbursts. You've proved me wrong.

Wilkins stood by henderson perhaps more than many other managers would (Adams anyone?). He could have kept kuipers in goal after the northwich game but he didn;t. He could have dropped him after the bournemouth game - he didn't.

What none of us know is what has been going on in the background. i'm sure that the defence losing solidity would have been an issue - also I suspect there may have been some briefing of naylor by henderson. If that is the case, then that wont have gone down well.

Absolute rubbish he was booed, dropped and sold because he didn't look as good in the pink kit as Kuipers. Dick and Wilkins knew how important this was to the large homosexual (and probably straight) fanbase (who do make up the majority in brighton). He knew this and in self disgust spat his dummy out.
