Let's get Llloyd Owusu from Shitefield Wednesday. They don't like him there, but we all know that he is a good striker. Like Knight, he was class two seasons ago, but Shitefield Wednesday have brought out the worst in him and he has underperformed.

rougier without a shadow of a doubt , henderson hasn't really done anything that made me sit on the edge of my seat ( swindon pen excluded) so rougier !

Why are so many people going on about finding the 'next' Bobby Zamora? That's what Knight is here to do. I'm not saying he's as good as Bobby (yet) but his job this season is to get 20-odd goals, sim-ple.

With that in mind, surely the second striker is to replace Lee Steele. Not a mamouth task you'd think, although Henderson is making a very good job of making Steele look good. Needs to be got shot of.

In answer to the original question, Rougier.

Crabtree, where did you hear that and how true was the offer? The only reason is I heard a week after the Grimsby match that Rougier wouldnt be coming back as it was only a stop gap. Heard this from the same person the same day told me that Roberts would be joining by pre-season and that Brooker was off to Leicester.

Rougier himself said it in an interview somewhere, forget where but it was linked to on NSC at somepoint.

send Henderson :salute: back... Rougier :moo:was a desparate attempt to plug a gap... should start with Xmas Tree and look to get someone GOOD on loan ...must be a few floating around div one or the Prem reserves to fill the midfield creativity and strike partnership deficiencies that we have. :glare:

I didn’t see much of Rougier, but from the matches I have seen Henderson play I would say Rougier was possibly better.

I would have the Moulin Rouge instead of Henderson - he just doesn't seem interested. Saying that, it ain't ever gonna happen, so throw McPhee into the mix!

This thread could be entitled "Rougier or Safeway upfront?" and there's still no way I'd vote for Rougier. The guy was appaling. Not saying Henderson's great, by a long way, but anybody is better than Rougier.

If you really don't want Darius (and I think you are making a big mistake) just send him back to Berkshire and we'll give you Bas Savage instead. Another of our bright young things who badly needs first team football at a lower level before getting a run in the Reading side. He missed the whole of last season through injury, but Reading FC have equally high expectations for the lad. He's much taller than Henderson at 6ft 7in, and a year or two younger. Also, according to rumours I have heard, Gunter would LOVE him!:)
