Rougier was one of the worst players ever to pull on an Albion shirt. He was a total bufoon. Henderson's not great, but he's miles better than that fool.

Rougier would cause havoc amongst the defence and create loads of knock-downs for Knight to get on the end of and for that reason he would have gotr my vote if this poll was carried out two months ago (with the knowledge that we now have about Knight and Henderson!!)

However - it's a non-vote - Rougier has gone to Brentford - that can't be reversed

At the time we considered him we didn't have Knight and so were looking for a different type of player to Rougier.

But we do need somebody with more nous and presence than Henderson to play alongside King Leon.

I would love to have Rougier up top now. He created much more space than Henderson does and is a proper fighter. Henderson lacks the presence that he should have for a man of his size and doesn't seem to worry defenders like rougier did.

Neither give me a great deal of confidence to be honest and I'm sure there are better options than either.

I reckon a third option for Chappers is a chisla should be added

Agreed. Give McPhee a go. Having said that Henderson gets my vote ahead of Rougier. It amazes me that so many people seem to rate him.

Rougier, he did manage to score a few goals that weren't penalties in his short time with us, and could have been ok at this level IMO

rougier everytime! he had a high work rate, he really enjoyed playing for us and probably even increased the team moral! scored a few in his short time and would complement knight nicely!

Henderson makes me almost regret I was so rude about Rougier. Almost. It's too depressing that we're trying to work out whether we want a donkey or a camel to replace our thoroughbred Zamora.

Neither.

Rougier is not very gifted ,but very affective he seems to be able to power his was through to get goals, much more affective than henderson.

Rougier is only on a 3 month contract to Brentford so will be available next month.

I had heard that we had made an offer during the summer that he turned down?

My thoughts exactly. There must be someone who we can get on loan / free that is better than both of them put together. Isn't there? Please?

yep the wages were too low, he wanted to come here and would've done had he not got a wife & kids, but at his age he has to think of his financial future.

Rougier was very basic but did the job required by us in the 1st. Henderson is rated higher but is not doing what is required by us in the 2nd.

I think the style of football we're playing at the moment would be better suited to Rougier. However I personally would prefer to see us return Henderson when his loan is up, get back to playing on the deck (with more wide options), and find someone else altogether who suits that style up-front.

I've heard Spurs have some new lad kicking his heels who could fit.

Crabtree, where did you hear that and how true was the offer? The only reason is I heard a week after the Grimsby match that Rougier wouldnt be coming back as it was only a stop gap. Heard this from the same person the same day told me that Roberts would be joining by pre-season and that Brooker was off to Leicester.
