Henderson going back today

(But is Steve giving him a lift?)

I couldn't be more pleased for McPhee though. He was only given the nod in those cup games that Henderson was cup-tied for and a few subs appearances - and with those limited chanceshe has made the second striker slot his own.

Yesterday he tackled, ran himself into the ground, looked sharp on the ball, not afraid to shoot (there was no way anyone else was going to score that second goal yesterday) and basically did everything that Henderson was lacking in.

Bye bye Darius. You need to decide if you really want to be a professional footballer badly enough IMHO.

I thought McPhee played fantastic. He seems to be a great partner for Knight and put 100% into the game - that's all us fans could ask for. Both goals were blinders, but he seemed a bit tired towards the end. Nevermind, if he keeps this performance up then I'll be a happy fan!

But Coppell - please stay.

I doubt we'll be missing Henderson that much now that McPhee has matured into a potentially decent player.

Both his finishes yesterday were pure striking class. The first one got himself in the right position just ahead of the defender and wallop! Back of the net as Mr Partridge would so eloquently put it. And as for the second, well it was heads down see you at the finish. He definitely has an eye for goal and a confidence which was not there during the Hinshelwood era, and has comeback from that trauma as a much better player.

Also his work rate and tackling was second to none aswell. A worthy MOM yesterday.

Darius who?

We obviously can't afford Owusu, but would they let us have him on loan paying 50% of his wages?
Would be nice wouldn't it, cant see it happening tho as we are one of their rivals for promotion.

Why dont they just pay him up and release him if they dont want him?

It was great to see McPhee take his chances yesterday especially since he had the goal disallowed at Rushden and the other tame shot that he should've put away. He's grabbed that second strikers slot for all its worth and his work ethic is superb. He chases, closes down, holds the ball up and tackles when he gets the chance. Very much like Gary Hart, if fans see you putting 110% into every match then they'll get behind you.

Its early doors for the lad, but he's been patient and now has his chance to shine. His understanding with Leon is improving every match and going forward at Rushden they ran their defence ragged. Great to see the youth finally coming good and in a division where mistakes are not always punished so they can learn in every game.

McPhee has struck up a better understanding with Little Leon in 2 games than Henderson did the whole time he was here. To my mind he looks a lot better prospect than Henderson as well.

 Henderson
