The image of the number plate is distorted.

The black rim above the plate is consistent until it gets to the MBU. The rim distorts pulling the right corner of the 'M' up; making the 'B' look like an '8' and turning the 'U' into a weird 'O'.

Not guilty Ma'am!

It's not a parking ticket but you can appeal online. I did it once but they just sent it back out again. Thanks to the kind folk of NSC I have appealed 5 times tonight with evidence.

I've had my numberplate CLONED before. Got a penalty notice out of the blue from Haringey council with a CCTV image of a black Honda Civic with my reg plate driving through a restricted zone there (buses/taxis only). I've never driven around Haringey in my life. I informed DVLA, the police, my insurers, and wrote to Haringey council stating this was not my motor, along with a police reference number, and it was dropped.

Then a few months later I got a phone call from my insurers, as someone had made a claim against me for an RTA in ROCHDALE, saying I'd left the scene of an accident. I explained again about the cloning of my plate, I'd never been to Rochdale, and on the day in question I was at work in Haywards Heath, and could provide CCTV evidence of the carpark showing my motor there. It didn't come to that, but my insurers sent an inspector round to my house to check my car for any signs of any damage or recent repairs.

I've since subtly altered the appearance of the back of my car, with "BHA" in chrome letters on the boot, and a seagull on the rear window.

There are some right f*kers around aren't there.
